Welcome! I'm so glad you found your way here. I began this blog as a way to connect with other like minded ladies, as well as to reach out to those who may be seeking a closer walk with the Lord. I pray that my writings will always bring honour and glory to my Lord and Saviour, and will be a help and an encouragement to all who join me. My salvation testimony can be found in the post, "New Life," and "Forgiveness."
Life truly is a journey, and there comes a time when each of us must choose the path we will travel. I had muddled my way through many miles by the time God finally got my full attention. I wasn't raised in a Christian home, but it doesn’t matter where we live, or what our family circumstances are, there is no place that God’s love and forgiveness can’t find us. Even though I don’t remember hearing the gospel as a child, and God’s voice was but a whisper, I know that early on he was sending people across my path, and using situations to try to reach me. From a part in a country school concert to a pastor at a vacation Bible school, God was already at work in my life. Later, when I finally began to hear his voice, he brought those times back to my remembrance.
How thankful I am that my Lord never gave up on me. Through all the years of turmoil and confusion, his voice eventually broke through and became clear enough that it finally brought me to a saving knowledge of the Lord Jesus Christ. The day I took that trip to the cross of Calvary is the day my journey truly began; when the Lord set my feet on a solid rock and a path to my heavenly home. In spite of my sometimes meandering ways, he is always there to forgive me, to teach me, and to guide me in the way that I should go.
As you join me now on my journey, my prayer is that you will find some words of encouragement that will help you to turn the stumbling blocks on your path into stepping stones to higher ground. May you laugh with me, cry with me, grow with me, and glorify the Lord with me!

But God forbid that I should glory, save in the cross of our Lord Jesus Christ. Gal.6:14a
Your Stony Heart
Is there a corner of your heart that’s kept hidden from your view?
In the emptiness and the dark, is there a longing for what is true?
Perhaps in distant memory God’s love once touched your heart,
Before the pain of living turned it so cold and hard.
Do you hear Jesus? He’s calling; oh, don’t try to hush his voice!
He is loving you and he’s waiting for you to see he’s your only choice.
No matter what you’ve done; no matter where you’ve been,
God can change your stony heart if you’ll just let him in.
There is a door to freedom, and Jesus holds the key.
From bonds that can’t be seen, he longs to set you free.
No one can break those shackles, but God and God alone.
He is the God of miracles, and he is still on the throne!

You lyrics are lovely. Enjoyed reading them. The pictures of the garden are beautiful, too. Thanks for sharing.
Your music is very beautiful, Deb. I will have to hear all the songs. You are so smart to make a CD!
