I'm the mom of seven kids, by birth and adoption, and a grandma of nine. Sharing this journey with me is my husband, Brian. After 19 years, and over 200 kids, we have recently retired from providing foster care...or at least we thought we had. It seems we aren't quite retiring just yet!
Finding the time to write, especially while homeschooling, has been challenging, to say the least! But I've finally managed to compile some of my ramblings and lyrics in the form of a devotional. Joining the blogging world seemed like the next logical 'stepping stone'!

Life isn't always a stroll through the garden, but even when I come across rocks and rubble along the way, God always gives me a song for my journey. From my everyday experiences as a mother, to the insights I glean from the word of God, it all comes out in my writing. As you join me now, on my journey, my prayer is that you will find some words of encouragement. May you laugh with me, cry with me, grow with me, and glorify the Lord with me!
I'm still learning about this guest book, but so far it seems that if I reply every time someone signs it, my picture will keep coming up...and one of me is enough! Also, I can't see any other way to contact people who sign...so if you are new, please leave comments on posts too...unless of course you don't want me to find you! hehehe
Good Morning Deb I just spent sometime checking out your blog! You've done a great job!!!! I look forward to checking in with you often, & learning more about you & your family. I like your makeover pics, but you're right, the make-up just isn't you. The golden highlights(for the golden jubilee) are good though. Haven't figured out how to listen to the music yet. You are far from techno-illiterate!
Hi Debbie I was just browsing your web site, how very touching it is,and how very true as well, that for many of us that we are standing on that river bank waiting,so fear sets in that we never hear from our Lord. I can honestly say that I stood many times on that Jordan river bank. I love devotionals, perhaps you can put some of your writings in a book. Kept up the wonderful writings. The Lord has given you a talent that you shouldn't not ignore. Your sister in law in Christ Jesus
