I was just browsing through my KJV Site blogroll, and we have a total of 45 members. I think that's pretty good for only 5 months. I haven't done alot of promoting of the blogroll, choosing to depend on word of mouth and people coming by way of the icon on member sidebars. But somehow seeing that membership number so close to 50 makes we want to give a little push to get us past that point!
Who knows, maybe some day the list will grow enough that I'll have to create a whole new blog for it. Actually that might be a good idea....with all kinds of possibilities....members could contribute posts on their particular niche; cooking, homemaking, crafts, devotions.......
You know when I sat down to type this post, I had no idea where it was going, but the more I think about it the more I like the idea of a dedicated blog for the KJV site list. So, let me know what you think...would you be interested in contributing a post now and then? I could also move my Friendship Friday there as a weekly feature to highlight a particular blog.
Maybe if there is enough interest we could have a different 'topic' each day of the week, with various members contributing either a full post or a snippet that would then link to the individual's blog. Can you hear the wheels turning???
But back to what I originally set out to post! I'm wondering if anyone on the bloglist would be interested in helping promote the KJV blogroll by making a post about it on their blog. Let's see if we can at least get past 50! If you are interested, you can copy the code from the blogroll site, or you can just copy the picture below and link it to the blogroll:
Leave a comment here to let me know you posted and I will post a link to your blog in return. Thank you so much for helping promote the list, and please let me know if you are interested in contributing to a new KJV Blog.
I look forward to hearing some of your ideas!
Proverbs 3:5,6 Trust in the Lord with all thine heart; and lean not unto thine own understanding. In all thy ways acknowledge him, and he shall direct thy paths.

10 friends left a note:
Here's three more for you. I will be adding the link on each blog in the next few minutes.
Buy The Truth
Songs In The Night
Faithful Men Of God
Thanks Brother Jerry, I've added them!
Hmmmmm...this sounds interesting...would it be membership only?...also just women and womeny things to write about...you know everyday little stuff or stuff the Lord teaches us....a way of knowing each other better ?
Deby
Deby...I've spent some more time thinking about this and jotted down some ideas. It wouldn't be like a private blog, as I'd like other like minded bloggers to be able to find us and join.
What I'm thinking is to have categories that member blogs could choose to be listed in...Here are some I've come up with: Crafter's Corner, Home Making Highlights, Ministry Musings(for missionaries or others in fulltime ministry), Culinary Creations, Poetry and Ponderings, Family Focus, Sites and Scenery,Musical Ministries, and King's Kids(for kid's blogs) Some blogs would fit in more than one category, so would be listed more than once...I think there would need to be a limit of 2 or 3
Having categories would make it easier to find what you are interested in. All would be listed in the sidebar.
About women only...That's a great suggestion, but I do have at least one man on the blogroll...
However, if a post is directed exclusively to women, that could be posted at the top. Another possibility would be to also create a seperate private blog for ladies only, and provide a way for them to sign up to be invited, from the regular site. I like that idea Deby!
Any other ideas out there?!
I'm thankful that you created the KJV blog roll, I've found some that I really like to read. I would promote it, but I'm afraid I don't have that many readers at this point. I just don't do the visiting that I used to and so I don't have that many visiting me...or if they do they don't leave me a comment. So I think I'll pass on the promotion for now. I can't make a promise to share anything either but look forward to what others do share.
Blessings!
Deb - I like the idea. Maybe you could list the blog on one of the top Baptist 500/1000 sites. I have thought about adding mine, just so I could be seen.
Let me know what you do. I'll be glad to add a post.
Hi Deb, I just added the blogroll....I hope I'm doing this the right way..... :)
Have a great day!
WE HIT 51 TODAY!!! (Thursday)
Keep them coming! If you have more than one blog...add them too!
Thanks everyone!!
Hey! I think this is a wonderful idea. I am so enjoying the fellowship. I have said before, but I never realized starting a family blog could lead to new friendships with other like minded ladies. I have put the KJV Blog Directory link on my sidebar. I would like to post sometimes. I am just not sure when or what subject yet. I need to put a little more thought and prayer into it. I use to write a lot, but four kids, church, and home keep me busy. Writing has been put on the backburner. I will fill out the Friends Friday interview soon.
Enjoy your day!
I was thinking, if you wanted to make it specifically a women's only blogroll, I could withdraw my links. You already have EarnestlyContending on your sidebar. Perhaps, if you were willing, you could add Buy The Truth there too. I have both of your music blogs linked from my blogs - so my visitors would see the links to yours and vice-versa. Plus, you have my links above in the first comment anyway. I wouldn't be offended if you decided to go that route. I believe God will guide people to my site who were looking for encouraging devotionals and indepth studies. Let me know what you think.
I think the idea of having a women's only blogroll, where they can leave home-making ideas, homeschooling info, crafts, recipes and other types of related posts as a good resource. I wouldn't want them to hold back on sharing their talents and blessings because of me. Perhaps you can give an official invite to my blog - or your visitors can take this as one: Buy The Truth. Please feel free to check out my other blogs and the sites on EarnestlyContending.com
Whatever you decide is alright with me - as long as the Lord is glorified, and other believers are strengthened through the sites are articles listed. God bless.
