Mistaken Identity

I received a book in the mail yesterday, called Mistaken Identity. I don't have a lot of time to read books for pleasure, so when I do, I tend to pick books that are based on a true story. I had this one on my 'wishlist' at Christianbook.com for quite awhile before I decided to treat myself! It was so worth it! We had to make a trip to a family visit with our little girl yesterday, so I took the book along...and I not only read it while we were driving, but every spare moment I had while in town. I finally finished it last night...yes I read it all in one day!
As I read I would tell Brian bits and pieces of the story and read aloud a few lines here and there. Brian has never been a big reader, and doesn't usually show much interest in what I'm reading, so I figured he was humouring me by listening! So imagine my surprise today to see this.....

I had given him the book to show him the pictures of the two girls and their families.....and he actually started reading it....and ignoring me. It's our coffee time...and he's reading. I finally got a bit of an understanding of his 'jealousy' when I get into a book. I told him, if I'd known that feeding him bits and pieces of a story would hook him, I'd have done it 30 years ago. But this is so wrong! My husband reading a book...on a saturday afternoon....surely he has something he should be doing!

In case you're interested, I've put a link to this book in my sidebar.

Yay for your husband! I love to read but find like you, it's hard to find the time unless it draws me in right away. I hope he enjoys it as much as you did!
