Writing Projects

I've had a bit of a break from writing anything but my blog this past month. Prior to that I had several different projects on the go......

• I'd been working on finishing the music for a lyric I'd written, God's Miracles. I hadn't looked at it in weeks, so when I went into my music program to listen to where I'd left off, I was pleasantly surprised.....it was nearly complete, and just needs a little 'tinkering.'


• A few months ago, I had started a book on the topic of forgiveness. I'm still working on the format, but it will be a series lessons, each one containing a story and a song lyric/poem dealing with a particular aspect of forgiveness, along with applicable scriptures and questions. I'd like to include the sheet music and a cd of the songs, but that might be a little too ambitious...and also limit who may be interested...not everyone is into music! It's going to be awhile before I finish the writing portion anyway, so we'll see where it goes.


• I had also started a short story about my Mom's hope chest. I 'hope' to get back to that very soon. I started out writing it as a true story, but as I was writing, I could see so many possibilities for the direction this story could take....if I let it. The problem is, I generally write non-fiction, so I'm having a hard time letting the story take it's own direction! But I'm working on it!
