~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
Every year we hear the story
of a baby born one night;
of shepherds coming to worship;
how the wise men followed the light.
We hear of angels praising,
and we sing of peace and joy.
But some forget the man on the cross
was that little baby boy.
The shepherds worshipped the newborn babe,
the wise men sought a king,
but all who know the Saviour can join the angels and sing,
"Glory to God in the highest,
Good tidings we bring!"
Look beyond the Christmas glitter,
past a lowly manger scene,
and see a cross in the distance,
on a hill they call Calvary.
But look a little further,
and you'll find an empty tomb.
For baby Jesus, Saviour and King,
conquered death for me and you.
The shepherds worshipped the newborn babe,
the wise men sought a king.
But all who know the Saviour can join the angels and sing,
"Glo.....ria, Glory to God in the highest. Glo.....ria"
Thank you for taking the time to leave a note. My hope is that my songs will bring glory to my Lord and Saviour, and be a blessing and an encouragement to all who stop by.
