Seek The Lord

Jesus says come unto me, and abide in me.
My yoke is easy; my burden is light.
I will give rest; come learn of me,
and walk now by faith not by sight.
~
I'll seek the Lord and his strength:
seek his face evermore.
Let his word light my way, as I search and I pray.
As I pour out my praise, lifting up Jesus name,
May my faith rise and soar.
~
......I come unto God, and believe that he is.
He will reward when I truly seek.
Only through faith can I please him.
I come now on bended knee.
~
I'll seek the Lord and his strength:
seek his face evermore.
Let his word light my way, as I search and I pray.
As I pour out my praise, lifting up Jesus name,
may my faith rise and soar.
~
Seeking the Lord.

This song is based on the verse I've chosen for 2011:

Seek the Lord and his strength: seek his face evermore. Psalm 105:4

and other scriptures pertaining to seeking the Lord:

Matthew 11:28-30 Come unto me, all ye that labour and are heavy laden, and I will give you rest. Take my yoke upon you, and learn of me: for I am meek and lowly in heart: For my yoke is easy, my burden is light.

John 15:4a Abide in me,and I in you.

2 Corinthians 5:7 (For we walk by faith, not by sight:)

Psalm 119:105 Thy word is a lamp unto my feet, and a light unto my path.

Hebrews 11:6 But without faith it is impossible to please him: for he that cometh to God must believe that he is, and that he is a rewarder of them that diligently seek him.

  1. If only we would learn to give our troubles to Jesus, how much less stress would we have great verse.
