My All In All Psalm 23

Psalm 23

Now and then, I write a song based on favorite verses, Bible stories, and thoughts given to me by others. I take the information they give me, add thoughts and scriptures from my own study, and hopefully come up with lyrics. This song was based on answers given by a fellow blogger, Mary. It's one of my favorites.

Just like the woman at the well,
I couldn't see my real need,
'till one day I met the Master,
and he knew my every deed.
When he offered me a drink
from an everlasting flow,
oh, I drank His living waters,
and he quenched my thirsting soul.

Now He's my Saviour, He's my healer,
by His touch I've been made whole.
He's my Shepherd, He's my Master ,
and He's there each time I call.
He leads me by still waters;
He restoreth my soul.
His rod and staff are my comfort,
and He's my all in all.

Just like the woman in the crowd,
I'd sought help time and again,
'till I finally looked to Jesus,
knowing he could take my pain,
for I'd seen him heal the lame;
make a blind man to see.
When I touched the hem of his garment,
such sweet healing flowed through me.

Now He's my Saviour, He's my healer,
by His touch I've been made whole.
He's my Shepherd, He's my Master ,
and He's there each time I call.
He leads me by still waters;
He restoreth my soul.
His rod and staff are my comfort,
and He's my all in all.

Just like the woman who knelt down,
and with her tears washed Christ's feet,
I will never cease to thank him
for the grace He's shown to me.
Since I reached out for that hem,
Jesus garment covers me,
and that spring of living water
satisfies my every need.

Now He's my Saviour, He's my healer,
by His touch I've been made whole.
He's my Shepherd, He's my Master ,
and He's there each time I call.
He leads me by still waters;
He restoreth my soul.
His rod and staff are my comfort,
and He's my all in all.

My all in all.

This is from Mary:

My favorite is the 23rd Psalm. The Lord is my Shepherd. It is one that I memorized as a young child.

My favorite story is the birth of Jesus.

2nd: Women at the Well. John 4: 6-29

"Touch the hem of His garment." I have reached out for the hem of His garment hundreds of time during my life. Matthew 9: 20-22

Grandma loved the Lord with all of her heart. She walked with Him every day of her life. I would love to see some of those memories incorporated into a song.

My theme song would be a slow song that tells of how Christ has always been near.

There was so much in these portions of scripture; so much truth, so much beauty, and so much that resonated in my heart!
