It Came To Pass

In time all things will come to pass.
Trials and valleys, they won’t last.
Though they may seem too hard to bear,
just take heart, the Lord is there.
He tells us of the saints of old.
Oh, such stories have been told,
and each time we hear the words,
“It came to pass.”

He was in the fiery furnace;
he was with them through the flood.
He was on the road to Emmaus.
Yes, he’s with each child of God.
Whether trudging through a valley,
or climbing a rocky path,
we’ll look back one day, and say,
“It came to pass.”

When time comes to an end at last;
trials and valleys in the past,
then we'll dwell in that land so fair,
with our Lord forever there.
and we’ll meet all those saints of old.
Oh, the stories we’ll be told,
and each time we’ll hear the words,
“It came to pass.”

He was in the fiery furnace;
he was with them through the flood.
He was on the road to Emmaus.
Yes, he’s with each child of God.
Whether trudging through a valley,
or climbing a rocky path,
we’ll look back one day, and say,
“It came to pass.”

Trials and valleys came to pass.
~~~~~~~~~~~~~
Sometimes we feel like we are the only ones who have gone through these trials and valleys as we’re traveling down this path, but all we need do is look to the word of God to see that the road we are on is very well traveled, and many saints have gone on before us. We can take heart in the words, “It came to pass.”
Ephesians 1:10 That in the dispensation of the fulness of times he might gather together in one all things in Christ, both which are in heaven, and which are on earth; even in him.
1 Thessalonians 4:17 Then we which are alive and remain shall be caught up together with them in the clouds, to meet the Lord in the air: and so shall we ever be with the Lord.
Because Of Jesus
Several months ago, Bro. Jerry Bouey wrote  some  lyrics and sent them to me. I made a few small changes as I set them to music.
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~

When I was lost and all alone,
Jesus melted my heart of stone;
Now there's a wonderful change within;
My heart's renewed, I can reach out again;
~
Because of Jesus, I know that I love you.
Because of Jesus, I want the best for you......
He did a work within my heart;
His love He did impart.
I love you - because of Jesus.
~
There was a time I didn't care.
My heart was wounded beyond repair;
But then God's Spirit worked within;
And he repaired all the hurt caused by sin;
~
Because of Jesus, I know that I love you.
Because of Jesus, I want the best for you......
He did a work within my heart;
His love He did impart.
I love you - because of Jesus.
~
There's a change I now can see;
He healed my heart - He set me free;
Transformed by Love eternally.
I love you - because of Jesus.

For where your treasure is, there will your heart be also.
Matthew 6:21

It is the time we spend investing in the lives of others that will make the difference to them - in time and in eternity - the time we spend representing Jesus and being like Him in this dark world.

Matthew 9:36 But when he saw the multitudes, he was moved with compassion on them, because they fainted, and were scattered abroad, as sheep having no shepherd.
Jude 1:21-23 Keep yourselves in the love of God, looking for the mercy of our Lord Jesus Christ unto eternal life. And of some have compassion, making a difference: And others save with fear, pulling them out of the fire; hating even the garment spotted by the flesh.

Peace At Such A Time

~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
As I embark on this new journey,
I know I’ll never walk alone.
Though this path is not my choosing,
My life is not my own.
I’m created for a purpose;
God’s called me to his field,
And I’ll see his will unfolding
When I walk in truth and yield.
Though I can’t see beyond today,
I walk the path ahead by faith.
His watering wells of hope are mine;
He gives me peace at such a time.
As I look back on paths I’ve travelled,
I see God’s hand upon my life.
He has brought me through dark valleys;
His word my guiding light.
I don’t need to know the reason
God’s brought me to this place.
I’m just called to be a witness
To his glory and his grace.
Though I can’t see beyond today,
I walk the path ahead by faith.
His watering wells of hope are mine;
He gives me peace at such a time.
Peace at such a time.
Ezra 4:17 Then sent the king an answer unto Rehum the chancellor, and to Shimshai the scribe, and to the rest of their companions that dwell in Samaria, and unto the rest beyond the river, Peace, and at such a time.
Isaiah 12:3 Therefore with joy shall ye draw water out of the wells of salvation.
This song was written for my friend, 'Hope.' Getting to know Hope has been one of the blessings I've received through blogging. Her first blog, Watering Wells Of Hope, is a wonderful testimony of how God has worked in her life and used her during a difficult trial, to be a witness of his amazing grace. I look forward to one day seeing this story become a book, as I know that Hope has a message that will be a great encouragement to all who read it.
Her second blog is called This Is The Day. This is a quote from the sidebar,"As the turmoils of the world surround us ... with GOD there is HOPE and each day can bring rejoicing as we seek Him in it." This is the theme of Hopes writing, and I believe, her life. No matter what comes in this life, we can have joy, because our HOPE is in HIM. Hope has just set out on a new journey; another fiery trial, and as always, her focus is on the Lord, and what he would have her to do during this time to bring glory and honor to his name.
But God
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~

There are times I feel like David,
and a giant's taunting me.
He keeps pointing out my weakness
and all my shattered dreams.
But God can take a little stone
if I'll offer it to Him;
use it for his own glory,
for in His strength I win

But God is the strength of my heart
He will bring me through every trial
I will praise Him and thank Him,
delight in Him and trust
I'll commit my way to Him
and He will bring it to pass

I was trudging through a valley,
shedding tears along the way.
Through those days so dark and dreary
all life's colors seemed to fade.
But God can make a flower bloom
out of season, in the gloom,
just to say,"You are loved,
and someone is praying for you."

But God is the strength of my heart
He will bring me through every trial
I will praise Him and thank Him,
delight in Him and trust
I'll commit my way to Him
and He will bring it to pass.

As I think of days gone by
and the heartaches I have known
I can see now I was learning
I can't make it on my own.
But God brought healing and sweet peace
out of tragedy and grief.
and the memories that linger
are now so precious to me.

But God is the strength of my heart
He will bring me through every trial
I will praise Him and thank Him,
delight in Him and trust
I'll commit my way to Him
and He will bring it to pass.

I'll glorify none but God,
for he holds my life in his hands.

Seventy Times Seven

(stop play bar at 3:56...)
(c)Deborah Bolack 2009
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
There's a brother who has stumbled
on jagged rocks along the way.
He's angry and he's hurt;
lashing out just brings more pain.
As he struggles for a foothold
through this dark and lonely place,
what he needs is for God's people
to reach out in love and grace.
Unto seventy times seven is how oft we're to forgive.
Are we weary in well doing?
Did we forget what Jesus said?
Can't we bear another's burdens,
and restore the fallen down?
Can't we take the stones we're holding
and cast them to the ground?
There's a sister who is weeping
and wondering how things went so wrong.
She's lost her hopes and dreams,
and she's trying to be strong.
But the world just keeps on spinning,
though her life has been laid waste.
What she needs is for God's people
to reach out in love and grace.
Unto seventy times seven is how oft we're to forgive.
Are we weary in well doing?
Did we forget what Jesus said?
Can't we bear another's burdens,
and restore the fallen down?
Can't we take the stones we're holding
and cast them to the ground?
There are soldiers who are wounded;
some for right and some for wrong.
They've tried to fight the fight,
but the enemy's so strong.
They feel beaten and deserted;
years of service wiped away.
What they need is for God's people
to reach out in love and grace.
Unto seventy times seven is how oft we're to forgive.
Are we weary in well doing?
Did we forget what Jesus said?
Can't we bear another's burdens
and restore the fallen down?
Can't we take the stones we're holding
and cast them to the ground?
Seventy times seven, Lord Jesus, teach us how
Matthew 18:21, 22 Then came Peter to him, and said, Lord, how oft shall my brother sin against me, and I forgive him? till seven times? Jesus saith unto him, I say not unto thee, Until seven times: but, Until seventy times seven.
Charity ~ 1 Corinthians 13
For charity is kind and endures all things;
never seeks her own, but hopes and believes.
Charity rejoices in the truth and never fails.
When all else has ceased to be, then abides charity.
1 Corinthians 13
~~~intro~~~
I may speak the word with power,
understanding all mysteries.
I may have faith to move a mountain;
sacrifice my everything.
But I am just as sounding brass
if I have not charity.
I am just a tinkling cymbal
if God's love can't flow through me.
~
For charity is kind and endures all things;
never seeks her own, but hopes and believes.
Charity rejoices in the truth, and never fails.
When all else has ceased to be, then abides charity.
~
May I live a life of meekness,
showing mercy in every deed,
and may my faith be moved to action,
reaching out to those in need.
And may I have abounding grace
toward every soul I meet.
I am nothing without Jesus,
and his gift of charity.
~
For charity is kind and endures all things;
never seeks her own, but hopes and believes.
Charity rejoices in the truth and never fails.
When all else has ceased to be, then abides charity.
~
I am nothing without charity.

Miracles Happen

*Music has not been uploaded yet*
This song will be part of my Hope and Peace Collection.
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
Silas and Paul sang praises, and sought the Lord in prayer.
Though locked away in prison, they knew how much God cared.
God sent a mighty earthquake in answer to their prayer.
He made a way to freedom; their work was finished there.
Miracles happen when we pray. Our God cares, and answers all,
When we humbly seek his face, and we surrender all;
when we give thanks unto his name, for his mercy and his love,
Our sacrifice of praise reaches his throne above.
Hannah went to the temple, and sought the Lord in prayer.
She longed for a child, and knew how much God cared.
God looked on her affliction, and answered Hannah’s prayer.
He granted her petition. The Lord remembered her.
Miracles happen when we pray. Our God cares, and answers all,
When we humbly seek his face, and we surrender all;
when we give thanks unto his name, for his mercy and his love,
Our sacrifice of praise reaches his throne above.
Paul was a man of God who sought the Lord in prayer.
Three times he asked for healing. He knew how much God cared.
God gave him strength in weakness, to glorify his name.
Though Paul still bore his burden, God gave sufficient grace.
Miracles happen when we pray. Our God cares, and answers all,
When we humbly seek his face, and we surrender all;
when we give thanks unto his name, for his mercy and his love,
Our sacrifice of praise reaches his throne above.
Jesus set our example, to seek the Lord in prayer.
Through all his earthly trials, he knew how much God cared.
God has the perfect answer , before we ever pray.
When he takes us through struggles, God gives sufficient grace.
Miracles happen when we pray. Our God cares, and answers all,
When we humbly seek his face, and we surrender all;
when we give thanks unto his name, for his mercy and his love,
Our sacrifice of praise reaches his throne above.
Luke 11:9 And I say unto you, ask, and it shall be given you; seek, and ye shall find; knock, and it shall be opened unto you.
2 Corinthians 12:9 And he said unto me, My grace is sufficient for thee: for my strength is made perfect in weakness. Most gladly therefore will I glory in my infirmities, that the power of Christ may rest upon me.
No matter what I am going through, I know how much God cares, and that he always has the answer to my prayer. He may not respond the way I would hope, but he will give sufficient grace to meet every trial.
Jesus Knows
*Music has not been uploaded yet*
This song will be part of my Hope and Peace Collection.
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~

God is the great physician, and he can make you whole.
He knows the wounds you bear; he longs to heal your soul.
Jesus can make your life new; just give your heart to him.
He’ll wash the scars away; bring healing deep within.

Jesus knows your every hurt;
Jesus knows you’ve lost your way,
and there’s no need in your life, that he can’t fill today.
He’ll mend your broken heart, and never leave your side.
Reach out for the Saviour; you’ll never be denied.
Jesus, the gentle shepherd, is there to guide your way.
He knows the path you take; he seeks the lost each day.
Jesus will carry you through; cast all your cares on him.
He’ll hold you to his heart; deliver you from sin.

Jesus knows your every hurt;
Jesus knows you’ve lost your way,
and there’s no need in your life, that he can’t fill today.
He’ll mend your broken heart, and never leave your side.
Reach out for the Saviour; you’ll never be denied.

Jesus knows.
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
No matter what our life experience has been, Jesus knows all about it. He knows how we’ve been hurt. He knows all the mistakes we’ve made in the past. He can take whatever we bring to him; all the pain, the filth, the brokenness, and give healing, cleansing and a new heart in exchange. He takes away the emptiness and fills us with his Spirit…..if only we ask him to.
Mark 2:17 When Jesus heard it, he saith unto them, They that are whole have no need of the physician, but they that are sick: I came not to call the righteous, but sinners to repentance.
John 10:14 I am the good shepherd, and know my sheep, and am known of mine.
Mark 6:34 And Jesus, when he came out, saw much people, and was moved with compassion toward them, because they were as sheep not having a shepherd: and he began to teach them many things.
Psalm 23:1 The Lord is my shepherd; I shall not want.
Silver Lining
Philippians 4:8
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~

Why don’t you look for that silver lining
In the cloud that’s overhead?
Thank God for the raindrops falling,
sunny days are still ahead.

When someone asks, “How are you this morning?”
just forget about your aches.
Thank God for the day he’s given,
and praise him for his grace!

In everything give thanks.
Sing God’s praises every day.
Everywhere, look for God’s goodness.
Tell everyone he’s the only way.
Then you’ll find that silver lining,
and sweet roses along the way.

And when you find thorns among the roses,
don’t complain that life’s unfair.
Thank God for the flowers blooming,
smell the scent that fills the air.

In everything give thanks.
Sing God’s praises every day.
Everywhere, look for God’s goodness.
Tell everyone he’s the only way.
Then you’ll find that silver lining,
and sweet roses along the way.

Philippians 4:8 Finally, brethren, whatsoever things are true, whatsoever things are honest, whatsoever things are just, whatsoever things are pure, whatsoever things are lovely, whatsoever things are of good report; if there be any virtue, and if there be any praise, think on these things.

Don't Give Up

When a trusted friend has turned on you
and slandered your good name,
When the man of God you looked to
has fallen hard from grace,
Jesus knows just what you're feeling;
deserted and betrayed.
But it's time to take a stand
there's a battle you must face.
~
Don't give up, don't give in,
Don't you let that devil win.
There's a purpose and a plan,
though it's hard to see God's hand.
He's allowed this rocky path,
He's prepared you for a task.
Don't give up, don't give in,
There's a victory you must win.
~
When your family has rejected all
your love, your hopes, your faith,
When you're beaten down and weary,
and you want to walk away,
Jesus knows your burden's heavy;
He'll help you bear that weight.
But you must deny yourself
and get back into the race.
~
Don't give up, don't give in,
Don't you let that devil win.
There's a purpose and a plan,
though it's hard to see God's hand.
He's allowed this rocky path,
He's prepared you for a task.
Don't give up, don't give in,
There's a victory you must win.
